As a senior instructional designer on the learning and development team, I had an integral part in the creation and implementation of this project. This project earned our team the 2023 Excellence in Practice award by ATD, positioning our team as a key player in the company.
Developed under a tight timeline, the program reduced new agent attrition from 30% to 10% by transforming a complex topic into a clear, scaffolded learning experience.
First Iteration:
The initial iteration of this project was launched in response to a request from trainers and subject-matter experts (SMEs) to improve on the existing, SME created content.
As a senior instructional designer, I was responsible for direct collaboration with SMEs to gather the information necessary to develop interactive elements, process videos, branching scenarios and role plays. As a graphic designer, I supported the team by creating the logo and design elements for this project.
Additional Iterations:
As development progressed, our team partnered with Second Nature AI to develop detailed, role specific simulations that enhanced our agent's experience.
As a senior ID, I was responsible for working directly with Second Nature to develop simulations that agents would use during role play. AI simulations created a safe space for agents to practice their skills multiple times, enhancing learner engagement and streamlining the role play process.
I provided support to the team by training the other instructional designers, as well as facilitators, in the use of Second Nature AI.
